Kirinyaga University today hosted officials from the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board (KETRB) for an engagement session aimed at sensitizing students on professional registration and standards in the engineering technology field. The session provided students with valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of KETRB in regulating engineering technology professionals in Kenya. Participants were guided on the requirements and procedures for professional registration as engineering technologists and technicians, as well as the importance of adhering to professional and ethical standards in practice.

During the engagement, KETRB officials emphasized the critical role of professional regulation in ensuring public safety, promoting innovation and supporting national development through quality engineering solutions. The forum also offered an opportunity for students to interact with industry regulators, ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of career pathways within the engineering technology profession. The University continues to strengthen partnerships with professional bodies and industry stake.

On behalf of the entire Kirinyaga University fraternity, the Office of the Vice Chancellor and that of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic, Research and Student Affairs express sincere appreciation to the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board team for their visit and for sharing invaluable knowledge and guidance with our students.
