About the School of Engineering & Technology

Welcome to the School of Engineering and Technology, Kirinyaga University, Kenya. The School is located at the East Wing, Ground Floor of Academic Block which 100m from the Main Gate.

The School offers many degrees, diploma and certificate programmes which include Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Computer Engineering among others in the area of building and construction, Water and production engineering.

 We are distinguished for offering our programmes through practical-based teaching, where students undertake a practical unit every semester and three industrial attachments through the degree course.

The School has four fully equipped workshops that are used to train our students in various areas such as electrical installation, foundry, plumbing, masonry, material science, soil testing and automotive science.  

All our programmes intake are in September, January and May respectively.
