Welcome to the Department of Engineering and Building Science at Kirinyaga University. The department has well equipped workshops, laboratories, competent and committed faculty and support staff. Class sizes are small and this facilitates intensive student –lecturer’s interaction.

Our students undertake attachments to bridge the gap between the lecturers in campus and industry. Examination processing is prompt and the results released to students individually on their portal. The department has student’s mentorship programs, and we use superior program delivery system where teaching materials is availed to students on the e- learning portal two days to scheduled lectures and so the graduates we produce are all round.

In order to maximize delivery and maximize student-lecturer contacts, students lecture attendance is updated weekly and electronically displayed on individual students’ portal to discourage absenteeism and enable the students are adequately prepared for University Examination.
