  1. 10th – 12th October, 2013: Attended a conference on “Promoting sustainable built environment” organized by School of Architecture and Building Sciences (SABS), JKUAT.
  2. 14th – 15th November, 2013: Presented two papers, one on Influence of interest rates on construction output in Kenya and the other on Payment problems among Kenyan contractors during the 8th JKUAT Scientific, Technological and industrialization Conference and Exhibitions. The theme of the conference was Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development.
  3. 7th – 9th November, 2018: Presented a paper on “Kenya’s Construction Industry Output Response to Commercial Bank’s Lending Interest Rate (1991 – 2016)” in the 3-day International Construction Research Conference and Exhibition (ICORCE) during the National Construction week at KICC, Nairobi.
  4. 11th - 13th September, 2019: Presented a paper titled: The Response of Kenya’s Construction Industry Growth Rate to Central Bank Base Lending Interest Rate (2007 – 2018), during the 3rd Annual International Conference under the theme: Enhancing Sustainable Economic Development and Knowledge Transfer Through Research held at Kirinyaga University, Kenya. I also participated as a reviewer as well as a chair of a session.
  5. 24th - 25th March, 2021: Presented a paper titled: The Impact of Macro-Economic Factors on Construction Output in Kenya, during the 4th Annual International Conference under the theme: Achieving Sustainable Development Through Innovative Research and Global Collaborations which was held virtually and organized by Kirinyaga University, Kenya. I also participated as a reviewer as well as a chair of a session.
  6. 6th – 8th October, 2021: Participated as a Chair of Session during the 6th   Alexander Von- Humboldt-Kenya “Kollegs” conference Which was held virtually under the theme: The Role of Alumni Networks in capacity building and global development. It was organized by Kirinyaga university.
  7. 24th - 25th March, 2022: Presented a paper titled: Trend of Construction Output Growth in Kenya;1977-2021, during the 5th Annual International Conference under the theme: Re-engineering Leadership for Sustainable Development which was held virtually and organized by Kirinyaga University, Kenya. I also participated as a reviewer as well as a chair of a session.

Workshops

7th – 9th November, 2018: Attended presentation sessions on:

  • The Impact of Quality Control and Assurance in Project Management.
  • Application of Sustainable Construction in Provision of Affordable Housing.

They were organized by The Big Five Construct East Africa and National Construction Authority during the National Construction Week at KICC, Nairobi.

19th – 23rd Dec. 2022: Attended and participated as an expert in construction research, a workshop organized by NCA to review research reports and proposals for FY 2022/2023 research studies.
